Taisei Learning Center is for school-aged children and acts like a tutoring center. We teach and support children with individual attention and respect for their own learning styles, unlike big classrooms and lecture style environments. We develop curriculum according to the desires and needs of parents and children.

Taisei Learning Center is also the Portland area's only accredited alternative school. If you or your child is in a school that has had the Japanese Foreign Language program closed, but still wish to finish High School with Japanese, contact us to set up a time for a meeting to see what our facility can do for you.

Our instructor is a highly trained professional teacher with credentials necessary to provide the highest level of instruction. She has her her Master's Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Technology. She has been running the Taisei Learning Center since 2007, and specializes in customizing curriculums around the needs of the students and the skills and strengths of the group that is in front of her at the time. She was a committee member for the 2010 State of Oregon Department of Education Foreign Language Instructional Materials meeting to decide on the state certified textbook to be used across Oregon for the next 7 years.
